When we started working on garlic recipes I told Dennis that I always grate my fresh garlic directly into my recipes, but that we didn't carry the right grater for it. So he dug into a project to get our hands on the best fine hand grater he can find that now we have the Very Fine Ultra Grater. I've got to say that now I'm jealous that the grater I use at home isn't as nice. That grater is so easy to use and is a great size.

What do you think of your Ultra Grater? I think we are getting some more size too, so keep an eye out for those!

I have about six different sizes of hand-held graters and they are wonderful! Especially if I am only doing a small amount and dont want to foul up the food processor...

I LOVE them and I even carry a couple of them in my knife bag...

Yes, they are great. Now I've got to ask you. What is a knife bag?

I tried using a tiny grater I had for garlic, and it was too hard to get the garlic out of the teensy holes...

...I found out later it was actually a nutmeg grinder.. Laughing

I pretty much just use the garlic press thingie.. After I've crushed the garlic into whatever I'm making, I toss the metal inserts of the garlic press into the dishwasher and whala... cleaned up.

The garlic press (when it's all clean Mr. Green ) works great for squeezing key lime halves when you need fresh key lime juice... like for keylime pie.. Mmmm. Razz
